Journey or Master Plumber
St. Cloud, MN

Perform skilled new plumbing installations and extension, replacement, alterations, maintenance and repair of plumbing, drainage, sewage and heating systems to the State Plumbing Code specs. This position will also take an active role in general maintenance and preventative maintenance of all buildings and grounds in District 3.
Inspect plumbing, water, and sewer systems for defects, problems, and code violations.
Estimate material, labor, time and cost to complete repairs.
Inspect and oversee outside vendors when they are hired to perform work.
Maintain an inventory of plumbing parts and materials
Perform building maintenance repairs
Assist in snow removal or other general duties at the St. Cloud Headquarters building.
Assist in the maintenance, operation, and repair of all heating and cooling systems.
Use Archibus preventive maintenance program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The level of experience to perform this job at the PLUMBER MASTER IN CHARGE level can be achieved with:
Master Plumber License issued by Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry
Experience with construction plans, blueprints and plumbing specifications sufficient to interpret, modify and follow them to complete plumbing projects
Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information; communicate with employees and the general public in-person or via two-way radio and other electronic devices; and to maintain routine written logs and simple records.

IF THE POSITION IS NOT FILLED AT THE PLUMBER MASTER IN CHARGE LEVEL, THE POSITION MAY BE FILLED AT THE PLUMBER LEVEL BY UTILIZING THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The level of experience to perform this job at the PLUMBER level can be achieved with:
Journey Plumber License issued by Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, with the ability to obtain a Master Plumber License within 12 months of hire or placement.
Experience with construction plans, blueprints and plumbing specifications sufficient to interpret, modify and follow them to complete plumbing projects
Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information; communicate with employees and the general public in-person or via two-way radio and other electronic devices; and to maintain routine written logs and simple records.

License and Certification requirements for both levels:
Class D Driver's license
Must obtain a CDL Class A Minnesota Driver's License with no air brake restriction within 6 months of hire/placement.
Minnesota backflow preventer certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire/placement.
Special Engineer Boiler's License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire/placement.
Registered Unlicensed Electrician or ability to obtain within 6 months.
